Aaron Bramwell
CEO + FounderAs the Founder & CEO of Monkee-Boy, Aaron has been helping businesses of all shapes and sizes “solve the web” to build more effective digital experiences for over 20 years. Aaron focuses on ensuring the company and operations are healthy, the staff has everything they need to do great work, clients are happy, and new prospective clients get the support they need to navigate the challenging waters of finding a new qualified digital partner - even when Monkee-Boy may not be the best fit. Aaron has a degree in Music Composition for UT’s Butler School of Music, teaches as an adjunct speaker at UT, and is on the advisory board for several local non-profits. For fun (and to stay sane), Aaron loves hanging with his family & friends, grooving to old school Hip Hop, talking all things Star Wars, soaking up the outdoors, and helping raise and manage honey bees as a Central Texas beekeeper.
Without a doubt, teleportation. One of my favorite games growing up was Asteroids and anytime you got into trouble you could hit a button teleport out of danger's way (hopefully not landing in the way of an incoming boulder) - that would be so cool! It would also be awesome because Austin traffic is a bear and I'm always running 5 minutes late.
Probably a tie between playing my "steering wheel drum kit" every time I'm driving down the road with a good song on the stereo and saying "Harry Potter!" in a loud and obnoxious British accent anytime someone says his name.
For pleasure - Tie between "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett and "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline (it's like my childhood in a book). For business, they change all the time, but the biggest impact over the last couple of years is "The Win Without Pitching Manifesto" by Blair Enns - the bedrock of how I approach my day.
